SINGING IN MANDARIN WORKSHOPS
Juliet is proud to introduce a new generation of intrepid performers and educators to the repertoire that captured her heart, leading workshops on Singing in Mandarin online and in person across the globe.
Content of the workshops is tailored to meet the needs of the participants, but topics may include: Mandarin diction, often in direct application to songs chosen by Ms. Petrus based upon the level and voice type of the singers; history of Chinese art song and contemporary vocal music in China, highlighting the major composers and their contributions; Juliet's personal history with music in China and her career there.
Juliet has been invited to speak to chapters of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS, USA), Northwestern University, Temple University, and Softly Loud Arts Consulting, with upcoming workshops across the Midwest in the United States, with future dates in London.
