Recorded in 2015 and released on MSR Classics, A Great Distance: A Collection of Chinese and American Art Songs《千里之外：中美经典艺术歌曲专辑 》is a cross-cultural celebration of classical song repertoire for solo voice and piano. The CD explores Chinese poetry in Mandarin and English, bringing together 20th- and 21st-century works. The release marks Juliet's first commercial album and the only full-length Mandarin album recorded by a Western artist. The bilingual booklet provides information about the composers, compositions, and translations in English and Chinese, creating a wonderful audio guide to a repertoire rarely heard outside of China.  It speaks to the heart of Juliet as an artist: using classical music to bridge the distance between her two diverse, and beloved, cultures.
